Cave of Crystals

In 2000 Mexican miners were amazed to find a cave filled with giant crystals. The miners were 1,000 feet below the surface searching for lead and silver in the Naica Mine.

The crystals are made of gypsum and some of the largest on earth. The biggest is approximately 36 feet long and is thought to be over 600,000 years old.
